What We Offer
Our emotions are hardwired into us by our evolution. They are our compass, showing how we are and what we need, providing a map for us in our relationship with ourselves and others. If however, you experience emotions that are frightening or overwhelming, you might ignore or avoid them.
As human beings we will have an emotional reaction to whatever happens in our life. Sometimes we can use coping mechanisms that prevent us from using our emotions to manage the situation effectively. You might, for example, be annoyed with someone, however talk yourself out of how you feel by telling yourself ‘it doesn’t matter’. In the short term this may not be a difficulty, however, if you continue to ignore how you feel, this can lead to a sense of unease and in this situation your needs are not being met.
Ignoring how we feel can lead to unhappiness, or a feeling that we are drifting through life. Additionally, this could result in anxiety, low mood or even depression, often impacting relationships.
Sometimes we can have a part of our mind that is self-critical, which makes us believe that we are ‘not good enough’, leading to self doubt. This will then cause us to feel anxious, have loss of confidence or low self esteem and can have an impact on how we progress in life or prevent us from having positive relationships.

We believe you have an innate ability to find your own solutions when difficulties are experienced and our aim is to explore with you, supporting you to find inner strength, gain a better understanding of yourself, manage your feelings more effectively, lead you to increased self-worth & resilience and help silence your inner critic.
Finding a Therapist and the type of therapy that works for you is imperative. With this in mind, we offer an initial consultation appointment without any obligation, where we are able to consider your goals and targets and for you to decide if what we offer meets your needs.

The number of appointments will be tailored to suit individual requirements. Appointments are available Monday – Saturday, Including Evenings.
What To Expect
If you would like to find out more about our service or check if it is the right service for you, do get in touch either by using the contact form or by calling us on 01476 589339. We will endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible. This will normally be within 1 working day. We will arrange to speak with you and will ask a few initial questions to check that our approach is likely to help you. We will then arrange to meet you at a mutually convenient time and date.
Should you feel that you could benefit from our services and would like to know a little more, please feel free to get in touch via the Contact Us form or on the numbers provided. We will endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible (typically within 1 working day). Your first session will then be booked at a mutually agreeable date and time. We are currently able to offer Face to Face or Virtual appointments.
Your First Appointment
It is really important that there is a good fit between Therapist and client and that you feel confident in the Therapist you are going to work with. We offer an initial appointment without any obligation on either side. We can then decide if we both want to go ahead and if so agree on the goals for therapy.
We will plan therapy to meet your individual requirements. Appointments are usually weekly or fortnightly but can be in blocks of time if this meets your needs. We will regularly review and evaluate therapy to ensure that it continues to meet your needs and help you to achieve your goals.
We ask that where possible you give 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. The fee for the appointment is payable if less than 24 hours notice is given.
Any information that you share with your Therapist is confidential. There are a very small number of exceptions to this and your Therapist will discuss these with you before they share any information.
Protecting Your Data
When you make your initial enquiry you are agreeing to us using your contact information to make contact with you. We will only use your contact details for this purpose and we will not share this information with anyone else. At your first appointment, your Therapist will tell you about the information we hold, how we use it, how we keep it and how long it is kept for. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Our Ethical Codes
All of our Therapists are accountable to their professional body and abide by their code of ethics. We continually evaluate our service to ensure that we meet best practice guidelines. All of our Therapists have enhanced DBS clearance. Our Therapists will be happy to further discuss or share information with you regarding the code of ethics adhered to at any point during your therapeutic journey.
